Magellan Complaint - Ridiculous return policy
I ordered a map update through the MagellanGPS website. I followed the instructions on the site and ordered the update they said was available for my unit.
When I received the sd card, it did not work. I called and was told that this card was not compatible with my unit. I explained that I had used their site and their instructions. I explained that my unit was registered with them through their site. I explained that at no point during the shopping for the unit or in any of the packaging was their any indication that this would work only for some Roadmate products.
I was told that the card is not returnable and no refund could be obtained. They made an error, and I am unable to obtain a refund? Are you kidding?
The update costs as much as a new unit. I am going to sell the update and buy a Garmin. I will never do business with Magellan again.
