Garmin Compliment - Garmin - A Great Thing to Have - Garmin 205W
Garmin 205W - Compliment
Recently, we purchased a GPS unit at WalMart, with the extended service plan. I will not go into the name, because I do not wish to embarrasss the company that made it, a well-known GPS product. We attempted to update the maps, as per the instructions, and the unit went to a blank screen with the words, "Maps Not Available." We took it back to WalMart, and they refunded all the money, without question, and we purchased the Garmin 205W. It is hard to believe we ever managed before getting it. We simply enter any address and click 'GO', and Ruby, as we named the unit, tells us turn by turn exactly how to get where we are going. The unit has a pleasant female voice and the screen shows the names of all the streets and roads. Just in case, we got the extended service plan for this, too. It was about $50 less than the competing unit that was just too complicated to operate, and does a much better job. We highly recommend this unit to anyone who drives a lot.

i wonder if they'll ever put 2-way radios on the car versions?
yes, they put 2-way radios on the handheld versions... well on some of them. i don't have one but i've seen them
