Sony Electronics Inc Complaint - Yellow light of death
I purchased a Sony PS3 about 8 months ago from gamestop brand new. I play different game sonline with my friends. I was playing Tiger Woods 2010 online when my PS3 just shutoff then I couldn't get it to turn back on. So I called Sony they said I have the yellow light of death and it will cost me $150.00 to fix it because I don't have my receipt I told them I just purchased it 8 months ago for $499.99 and that was ridiculous for me to have to pay anything else for a very long time but the reason they don't know when I purchased it is because they don't actually keep track of the serial codes. So I went to gamestop to see if they could print me a new receipt and they only keep records for 30 days (what kind of businesses are these).So I called Sony back and they told me it wasn't there problem it would cost $150.00 to fix it (don't forget the new game Tiger Woods 2010) thats stuck inside the console. Sony you are a bunch of idiots. I have a 40 inch Sony flatscreen TV, a new Sony Vaio computer with the hard drive built in the monitor, another PS3 in my sons room, Sony stereo system, surround sound, portable cd player, potable DVD player. So now I'm stuck with a piece of crap PS3 that doesn't work with my game stuck inside it. Sony just lost a big customer because I'm taking back some of the Sony products that I purchased before my PS3 died and selling the other crap because of no customer service satisfaction.
