Colonial Crossings of Williamsburg Complaint - Colonial Crossings utilizes false advertisement

Complaint
Review by jaylclay on 2009-08-08
WILLIAMSBURG -- I purchased a timeshare at this resort (if you want to call it that)only because of the waterpark that was to open in July of 2009. Theresort managers went through great expense to show the waterpark plans along with the fishing pond and horse stables. We considered it a good investment since, as owners, we are allowed to use the property anytime we wish for the waterpark and horseback riding. What a lie, no waterpark, no horses, and no pond and it is 4 years later............I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and would like for everyone to do the same. They will be notified and will have to reply or lose their A rating, what a joke!!!!

If it has anything to do with timesharing its a scam. Even if its not a scam its still a rip-off. I'm assuming that your actual signed contract has no mention of these future perks.

Completion in July 2009? It's only August - not 4 years later! Have you had lots of rain there to delay construction?

My Charter membership certificate includes free passes to a water park that doesn't even exist. We paid in full $17,000 for our week in Jan of 2007. We were told the water park would be ready the following year. Jan 2011 no water park. I drive by that timeshare now and then because I live close. It isn't even in the works! Now we continue to pay for a worthless over priced hotel.

we are int he same boat...promised but not delivered. No ground is even broken for the waterpark. It was to be completed in 2009...we drove there in August of 2010....no ground has been disturbed. Owners need to band together and fight this gross misrepresntation. And of course, no mention of th waterpark in the contract. But every person who bought there was promised the same thing.

There has allegedly been fraudulent activities with the management/development of Colonial Crossings by Land'Or International. If you would like to join with others (such as myself) in filing a lawsuit, act quickly and contact. The more people involved, the greater the impact (hopefully) and the cheaper the legal representation ($500 buy-in):
