Alley's of Kingsport Complaint - Alley's Car Salesmen

Review by LineyFaye on 2009-08-08
KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE -- My review has to do with the salesman Garry Crawford. In purchasing a 1999 Jaguar XK8 at Alley's of Kingsport, TN, Mr. Crawford presented a document passing off information as the car in the purchase. Later we noticed this information didn't match this car. Two days later we went back to Alley's of Kingsport, we tried to get straight info. on this 1999 Jaguar XK8, with no luck. Two weeks later had to have car towed to Knoxville Jaguar. We asked for proper documentation for this car. VIN matched, but not engine number. Engine in car was not original engine. Engine number in car(981016xxxx) was older engine that needed chain tensioners and chains replaced or risk replacing whole engine. Mr. Crawford's passing off a document for a different car is a crime all by itself. I feel for a salesman to do that was intentional and has no conscious. He knows what he did was low and dirty. No wonder Alley's of Kingsport lost their Chrysler sponsorship. I had thought Mr. Alley was a respectful businessman, but with salesmen like this, it makes me question how many customers were done this way. I never thought an auto salesmen would stoop as low as Garry Crawford from Alley's in Kingsport. Don't be another victim. Abstain from purchasing from Garry Crawford and Alley's in Kingsport, TN. Find your car deal somewhere else and have peace of mind. I hope Mr. Crawford's conscious keeps him awake at night.
