La Quinta Hotel -Pensacola, Fla Complaint - Stay away from here
Resolution Update on 08/17/2009:
certificate from manager sent for free night after finally reaching him personally. Contacting front office staff had produced no results.
PENSACOLA,FL, FLORIDA -- We were in Jax to attend my brothers funeral. Upon late arrival(hotel had been notified) we found no supplies, 2 very small slivers of soap, a half used bottle of shampoo, no cream or sugar for coffee. We were tired so just went to bed. The following day no one appeared to clean room or leave suplies. Upon leaving the hotel, we stopped at front desk. Their records showed the room had been cleaned and all housekeeping staff were gone, however front desk promised to take supplies to room. On way to parking lot we met 2 maids working on other rooms and they assured us they would clean ours while we were out. We returned from the Memorial service at 10;00 P.M. and the room was exactly as we had left it. My husband went to front desk to get towels and soap. Shortly thereafter, the front desk employee arrived again very apologetic and told a certificate for a free night would be at the front desk when we checked out. Upon checking out the front desk clerk said she knew nothing about any of this and she was out of certificates but would put a note on managers desk re; matter. My husband asked her for something in writing verifing this. She refused. After much discussion she scribbled a note on a piece of scratch paper - no letterhead, no date, no last name. I then insisted on a note on letterhead, full name, etc. She finally gave us a note stating that she had left anote on managers desk. Needless to say this was a very sad trip for us and La Quinta employees added more sorrow.
