Courtesy Chevrolet - West Colonial Dr. Complaint - Nothing but a bad dealership

Review by Doc Z on 2009-08-12
ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- I inquired to buy a truck from Courtesy Chevrolet, and the representative David Donnelly was assigned to help me. I spoke with him about the truck I wanted and he said it was still on the lot, so I scheduled an appointment. When I arrived I found out the truck was sold the same day I spoke with him. I had conversations with after the date of the sale. Instead of telling me he sold the truck he just flat out lied and tried to get me into another vehicle. If someone can't tell me the truth from the start, why should I bother dealing with them at all. Stay away!

It is possible the vehicle in question was still available when you called, but another buyer was negotiating it, which this particular salesman wouldn't have known. Also, you state the vehicle was available the day you called, but when you visited the dealership, it had been sold the day you called. How many days between the contact and the visit, and why did you expect them to hold a vehicle based on a brief call?

This has happened to me before as well. It does tick you off when you get there and they try selling you something that you don't want.

Speak with your dollars and buy from someone who wants to sell you the vehicle you want. With the current woes of the auto industry you would think they would sell ANY car and not try to use their slick tactics.
