Travelocity Complaint - Misrepresentation - Car Rental
KEYPORT, NEW JERSEY -- On July 12, 2008 me and my family had a very bad experienc in relations to Car Rental reservation done thru travelocity. I had called and informed Travelocity representatives at that time. I have made up my mind to never make a car reservatiion thru Travelocity & Thrify Car Rental. They are not only unprofessional, but very un-courteous, insensitive and greedy franshise. Furthermore they don't care if the business they are getting via agents like Travelocity will be lost or not. In view of my experience I don't know why such a bad rental company is being recommended by Travelocity.
When I called Travelocity to complain I was assured by him to go ahead and rent the Van and Travelocity will reimburse me for the overcharges made by them. It was only then that I decided to rent minivan from them. Not only we spend two extra hours at the car rental company, paid extra money, but also had to change our travel plan and have reduced it from 4 days to three days by returning one day early. They have charged us total amount of $401.52 instead of $239.00 confirmed by travelocity.
Besides the overcharges, this trip has caused us such a embarrasssment with my kids and wife, as they were counting on me to have a smooth and hassle free trip that we were planning for long time
Finally after several months of back and forth with cosumer relations of Travelocity I was informed that there will not be any gurantees and therefore no refund. This is contrary to what Travelocity's advertisement of corporate guaranty in case of any mishaps with travelers.
