Bill Stasek Chevrolet Wheeling Illinois Complaint - If you did not buy it here don't bring it here or you will get yelled at

WHEELING, ILLINOIS -- I had been buying new vehicles from this dealership in Wheeling Illinois since 1977. In December 2008 I was looking for a new vehicle to replace my 2002 Trailblazer I purchased from this dealership. I asked them for the best price for a new 2009 Trailblazer. This dealership knew I was a repeat loyal customer. I was told with trade in and cash bonus and my GM credit it would cost me about $23,000 plus tax, title, license and extended warranty. I went down the block to a GMC Dealership and looked at a 2009 Envoy which is almost exactly the same as a Trailblazer except it lists for more money. I was told it would cost me $19,000 plus tax, title, license and extended warranty. I would save about $4,000 by buying a 2009 Envoy. I bought the envoy. I was still bringing in my wife's car for service at the Chevy Dealership so I also brought the envoy in. The Assistant Service Manager had a fit. He started yelling at me in front of other customers. I thought he was having a mental break down. I went to the owner of the Chevrolet Dealership and told him what happened. He said the Assistant manager was upset because I bought a vehicle from another dealership and that he had the right to feel upset and he would do nothing. I said I tried to buy a vehicle from you but your best deal was $4,000 more. He said I could not have picked up an Envoy for $19,000. I brought out the paper work and showed him. He said he would have matched it. I said you had your chance and you were more expensive. He then stated that the Dealership makes no money on servicing a Vehicle. They make there money selling the car. I said my last vehicle had about $20,000 worth of service done on it and you made no money. He stated that what the Assistant service manager did was ok and that if I did not like it I should bring the vehicle to where I bought it for service. I had intended to buy a New Camaro when the convertible comes out and now I will not even consider getting a price from this dealership. I cannot believe that this dealership makes no money servicing vehicles. Now they even lost a customer that would have bought a car. Was I wrong? Should I have paid and extra $4,000 for a Trailblazer to please the Assistant Service Manager? This dealership has lost a customer for life and it will also effect anyone that I talk to. Big Mistake

I can understand the dealership's disappointment in your not purchasing the vehicle from them, but they handled it in a very unprofessional manner. I am glad you are going to speak with your dollars and do your car buying elsewhere. You may want to look at taking your wife's car to someone else too.

Thanks I will not be bringing anymore cars to that dealership and I hope no one else does either.
