Acer Complaint - Horrible Tech Support
Purchased the mini laptop at Costco to use with AT & T to have internet access while travling over the road in the USA. After 1 week out, stopped being able to connect to the internet using the 3 G connection. I contacted AT & T who gave me minimal help, then referred me to Acer.
I spent hours on my cell phone trying to get help from tech support. They all spoke very heavily accented English, diffucult to impossible to understand. I tried to explain that I had already done everything they suggested. They told me I needed to connect to the internet (wish I could) to download drivers. They gave me a list of instructions how to do this. After multple attempts was finally able to download the drivers. Then couldn't get them to run. At this point was transferred to someone who spoke very good English. She expalined it would be an additional $60 to $199 for additional help. This was a brand new computer and no one could explain why it wasn't working or why I needed new drivers. I declined and went into Costco to return the computer. The salesman at the kiosk fixed my problem in less than a minute. Would never buy another Acer despite the fact I love the little computer. Customer service was the worse I have ever incountered.
