Acer Complaint - Poor Product/Poor Customer Service

Home Shopping Network took back the netbook and credited my account.
I purchased an Acer netbook from Home Shopping Network, which has a money back guarantee if products are returned within 30 days. Apparently, that doesn't apply to certain products, and this is one of them. My netbook overheats and makes a terrible racket. It is unusable. I found it impossible to speak to anybody at Acer customer service who spoke or understood English, and working with them over the internet was very slow and did not resolve the problem. I contacted HSN to return the product. They did send me a return lable; however, Acer does not allow returns. According to them, I have to send the netbook to them at my expense to see if they can fix it (and there is a long list of things they don't cover in their warranty - even if it shipped that way).
IMO, Acer is a very disreputable company with a poor product.
