AT&T Complaint - AT&T is a waste of time, with horrible service!
OKLAHOMA -- I am so furious right now, I could scream!
I ordered AT&T DSL. I received a confirmation email on 8/10/2009, stating that my order was confirmed, and it would be on 8/14/2009. I spent money on both a DSL modem, as well as a DSL router (bought on Amazon, can't return). When my DSL service was not turned on, I called and spoke with customer service, who assured me, it would be on by 8pm. Their offices close at 6:30... how convenient. When it wasn't on that evening, I called about 9pm. The tech support guy told me to call back after midnight, and assured me he would flash the system, etc. and get it working. I stayed up, called them, and was on the phone until after 1am, only to be told they could not find me in the system, so there was nothing they could do.
I, again, called customer support this morning, and was told my order was right there, and tech support could help. I spent over an hour on the phone with them, only to be told my order had never "been sent through", even though I had received the confirmation email, and been told different, many times, on the telephone. They, finally, sent me to a different sales guy, who said he needed to run a credit check, etc., and then it would be at least ten days before it would be turned on, because they would have to REschedule it. I earn my living online, and they have put me thorough soooo much!
I have wasted so much time and money on this ordeal, and still don't have anything to show for it, except a DSL modem and router that I can not use! AT&T really needs to get their crap together... this is insane! I am really considering taking them to small claims court to sue for the time and money I am out.
Their reps are rude, will not transfer you to a supervisor, and nobody knows what they are talking about! I will NEVER use AT&T again!!!
I should have known when I had their cell service, and they charged me for calls never completed...
Guess it takes some of us longer to learn than others...
