Pine Belt Chevrolet of Freehold Complaint - Terrible customer service

FREEHOLD, NEW JERSEY -- Placed a "fully refundable" $500 hold on used car there, but decided not to purchase the car because I found a better deal elsewhere that Pine Belt couldn't match. When I asked for my refund back the manager became angry at me and hung up without giving me my refund. I called back the next day and spoke with the Internet Sales manager and she said she would put the $500 back on my credit card for me. Well a week later it still wasn't there and I called back and was told that the refund could take up to two weeks (which is entirely false, credit card refunds are done instantly)!! It's been two weeks now and I have not seen my refund and I am given the runaround every time I call them. Please do not do business with them!!!!

Actually, under the Master Card and Visa terms, merchants have up to 15 business days to transact a refund.

If they are still delaying your refund file a dispute for the transaction with the credit card issuer.

I would just file a dispute with the credit card company.
