Dominos Pizza, Hewitt Texas Complaint - Lousy Customer Relations

Review by mergecw on 2009-08-19
HEWITT, TEXAS -- 8/19/09 9:30PM I just visited the Domino's Pizza on Hewitt Drive, and I was horribly disappointed. Being new to the area, I entered this facility, inquiring about their specials, and the person I spoke to just slammed the list of specials down in front of me and walked away. A bit disillusioned, I was trying to decide what I wanted when she walked back up to me and asked me what I wanted. I was still looking when she rudely retorted that if I get ready, just let her know, and then rudely walked away again. Well, that was quite enough to send me into a bit of a rage. I walked out of the store, and came back, only to talk to the manager about this rude behavior, only then to find out that she was the manager. I'm really having a difficult time trying to understand why Dominos would have anyone with this type of personality in a managerial position. I can assure you of one thing, I'm quite sure I will never purchase anything from that store.

Thanks but can you please explain how someone "rudely walks away?"

Let's see, you are ticked off because the manager didn't drop everything to babysit you while you perused the bill of fare, right? I would have rudely walked away too. Sure customers should be treated with dignity, but the world does not revolve around you. Build a bridge and get over yourself.

i always order Dominoes when my sons friends come over. they have good specials. most of the time when they say 45 min. they are there in 30.

You went into a "rage" because of some imagined slight by counter help at a pizza take out?

Anger management classes, dude.

Did you stop to think that maybe they were busy and that she had other orders to fill and didn't have the time to stand there and watch you make up your mind? You weren't ready with your order so she went to complete her other tasks. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Why was it taking you so long to decide what you wanted? Their menu doesn't have that many selections.

I've many times gone into a pizza joint without knowing the specials or exactly what I wanted to order. I'd much rather someone 'slam' the list in front of me and then walk away. I'd prefer that to having them hover over me, tapping a foot, while waiting for me to make up my mind. I know how to say 'I'm ready to order' instead of going into a 'rage.' Seems you're not only new to the area (what does that have to do with it?), but you're new to how pizza places operate.
'Anger management classes, dude.' Good one, Boki. :)

heh it takes me forever to decide too

i usually just stand back a bit and look at the menu
if the employees or other customers ask if im in line i simply smile and say "i'm still trying to figure out what i want"

that way other customers can go ahead while i figure it out

or i just order online

"Well, that was quite enough to send me into a bit of a rage."
O MY. That is not a mentally healthy reaction

Hubby studies menus like he's crammin for a test. I just tell the waitress to "walk on, we'll be here a while". :D
