AAA Service Tech Complaint - Beware of AAA Techs
My vehicle tail lights stayed on one night and ran down my battery. I called AAA for a jump start and the guy put the jumper cables on backwards. I tried to start my car and it blew fuses and shorted out my windshield wiper motor. When I called AAA they tried to convince me that it had to be something else. The service tech realized he was in the wrong, took off without having me sign a service notice like every AAA tech is supposed to have you sign before they leave. Now the service company itself is saying it's impossible for a windshield wiper motor to short out due to a jump start and it is just a coincidence. Not buying it. My car worked perfectly the night before all this happened. AAA should be responsible for the replacement motor at no cost to me.
I have had AAA for 15 years and the cost of membership far out weighs the cost of the wiper motor, but I'm sure they will find a way to get out of any responsibility.
