Bank of America Complaint - Delay of Short Sale Review Forced Me into Foreclosure!
PLEASE if you can avoid it at ALL costs, do NOT place your home mortgage with Bank of America. You will certainly regret it if you do!
I had a home loan with Countrywide Mortgage that was acquired by Bank of America earlier this year. My husband lost his job and he couldn't find another where our house was located. We put the house up for sale and, finding a job in another state, we moved. We received a purchase contract on the house in May of 2009 - here it is August 20th and the buyer has backed out because it was taking too long for Bank of America to review the sales contract. The sales contract would have PAID BANK OF AMERICA IN FULL (there are two mortgages on the house).
My home is in foreclosure now and will now be sold at a public auction on September 8th thanks to the IDIOTS at Bank of America, their lack of experience, their lack of urgency, their lack of caring when they WRECK someone's life.
My realtor and I have placed dozens and dozens of calls to Bank of America's supposed "mortgage specialists" (HA!) and each one we speak with is more dumb than a rock and can't give us any definitive answers.
I would never do business with Bank of America again in my lifetime and I will advise everyone I know to follow suit. I wish I had money to file a lawsuit against them but it has been a hard year and I need to pay the rent and electric bill instead of an attorney. How sad this is.....
