National Tire & Battery Complaint - Lure You In With Lowball Quotes, Then Scare You Into Spending $$$$

Review by Josh39 on 2009-08-20
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND -- Price of tires and installation were much higher in reality than what I was quoted over the phone.

With tires off, mechanic tried to persuade me that front brake pads needed immediate replacement. When I asked for a quote, was given $400+ quote for both pads and rotors. I later determined that the rotors were fine, and the pads had at least several months left in them.

Simply tell them to do the tires only, and you will take your vehicle to your mechanic and have him check everything else out.

How did you later determine that?

Tell them to just do the tires, but make sure they don't tamper with anything else.
