Ashley Furniture Informative - Ashley Holding hostage
I still can not believe that Ashley would not take back defective merchandise and give me a refund.
I purchased a couch. Complained about it in Feb and March. The parts came in April and the repair person in May.
He was unable to do all the repairs as all the parts were not delivered, and on top of that, he was unable to remove the seat cover to put in the new foam and he was unable to replace the closing mechanism as he did not have the right tools. I begged to return the couch but they would not let me.
the new pieces finally arrived in July 7 months after the initial defect was found making the furniture unusable.. and the service would not be performed for another month. We begged again for our money back. But no.
We agreed to have the furniture picked up and Ashley will have a store credit. I just think the store would rather have happy new customers in the store rather then old customers that received defective merchandise. Which seems like the majority of its customers based on the reviews and my conversations with the customer service people
