RYOCigarette Complaint - Bad customer service and shipping

Review by wginthezone on 2009-08-22
Do not order from RYOcigarette.com, they are slow to ship, and you should see the reply I got from them, totally unprofessional and without any explaination as to why they took 5 days before filling my order and had it shipped out. And they don't actually give you the tracking number unless you ask for it. I would never order from them again... someone else on this site had a similar experience... don't do it.

With all that trouble I would just stop smoking.

Did they have a promise or a guarantee or otherwise represent that they would have shipped your product out sooner than five days? Did you pay for faster shipping?

What made their response "unprofessional"? Did they call you by your first name? At least they responded.

Doesn't seem like that big of a deal, to go to all this trouble to complain online. I hope you are planning to pay your state cigarette sales tax on this purchase. You break the law when you don't.

Apparently this company caters to the roll your own crowd.
Here's a blurb from their site:
RYOcigarette.com is a retail and wholesale distributor of Cigarette Tobacco, “Roll Your Own” Cigarette Supplies, Cigars, Pipe Tobacco, Chewing Tobacco, Hookah Tobacco, and Accessories for all your smoking needs.
It is our goal to provide you with a wide variety of tobacco brands and flavors at discounted prices. Feel free to click around. If there is a blend or brand of tobacco you would like available on our site, let us know.
They even offer empty blunt wraps, and to think of all those drug dealers I see on cops buying the cigars and dumping out all of the tobacco so it can be filled with maryjane, this site could save them a lot of time!

Hope ya feel better. Little Jim Beam Whiskey rolled around the tooth would help.

Can we have the Jim Beam without the toothache?

I know here in Michigan, where we have (I think) the second highest cigarette tax in the country (a single pack cost between $5.00-$6.00), a lot of people order their cigarettes online. I think if they order from an Indian Tribal site, they can even order the cigs tax free. I think there is a limit to how many cartons you can order at one time, even bring with you into the state. Also, the roll-your-own crowd is growing here. It looks to me like rolling your own is much less expensive. Anyway, I'm surprised there haven't been more complaints about sites like these.

Oh, I used to smoke two packs a day. I quit five weeks and four days ago.

The cheapest ciggies you can find in Michigan are " Smoker's Choice"... which are really a little cigar wrapped like a cigaret and cost between one and two dollars per pack depending on the store.. They are pretty good for the price and if it wasn't for the fact that I had to quit smoking I still would by sucking on them little devils...BTW, I quit 9 months ago and still miss the hell out of it!

Well OF, at least you don’t smell like a chimney anymore

I quit NOvember 14, 2006 using hypnosis and haven't so much as wanted a puff since. Even rolling my own was getting too expensive and my health was not improving. COPD anyone?
Posted by jktshff1 on 2009-08-23:
Mundo, did you use anything to help you quit?
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-08-23:
I quit using nicotine lozenges (the gum hurt my teeth, th patch made me throw up). Early warning signs of Emphysema, anyone?
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-08-23:
I used Chantix. It's a prescription that blocks the part of the brain that wants a cigarette. It's not a nicotene substitute. I took Chantix and never thought about cigarettes again. (Until now.)

Of course, the heart attack with its 90 minutes of death and nine-day coma helped motivate me. (I don't drink or eat too many bad foods anymore, either.)
