American Airlines Complaint - AA baggage handlers steal you property
I flew from Puerto Rico to Dallas and from there to Monterrey, Mexico. I had been on a cruise with my familiy. In Puerto Rico´s Airport I put the camera in one of the bags I was going to check, not wanting to carry it all the way home. I picked up my bags and went thru customs with out having to open any of the bags. Got home late and didn´t open the bags until the next day in the afternoon. What was my surprise that the camera was not in my bag. I called AA reps in Monterrey and they said I had to go in person to the airport to do my claim. The airport is a 25 to 35 mile drive. When I get to the airport thay say I have to call customer relationships because it had already been more then 24 hours I had arrives. I call back customer relationships and guess what they say, "o yes your right there´s nothing we can do if it´s already after 24 hours". What hit me the most is all this was thru email. I could never get anybody on the phone. And of course their email included things like "it not that we are not sensible to your problem, we will strive to make things better.... la la la". Can you imagine "we are not insensible" we just don´t have anybody that wants to talk to you unless you want to by another ticket. No wonder these companies are going under water. In my case it´s not the camera, I can buy another one, it´s all my photos on the cruise, gone.
