Western Sizzlin corp. Complaint - Smoking - cigarette smoke

Review by Conway on 2004-06-26
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- Today I went to Western Sizzlin with my family, it was the first time I had been there in sometime, needless to say I'll never go back, the smoking section is where the food is at, and the smell of nicotine was terrible. It's out of my way but I have been going to Fire Mountain the price is the same, the food is a lot better with no nicotine on it, you have to stand in line to get in but it's well worth,I'll never in this life time go back to Western Sizzlin.
I'm not sure all Western Sizzlin's allow smoking, I went to the one in Oklahoma City at I-240 and S. Penn. Thanks Conway

I'm a smoker and I agree.............restaurants that DO NOT serve alcohol should be NON SMOKING........that way there are less people who enter a bar and complain.

You all complain about the smokers in public places. But not once have I heard a complaint of the very high amount of taxes collected from the smokers. Or the benefits you get from them. I think people should step back and really think about what they are doing. So many companys are losing money an even closing thier doors because people stop coming in.Not to mention all the things taxes pay for where are you or the states and goverment going to come up with the money you will need to replace the tax money from smokers. If you do your research this second hand smoke thing was false look up the official reports done they state there is no connection to second hand smoke of illnesses like cancer or any of the other illness. This was made up by a group of people who make money off thier bullSh as Penn and Teller would say haha. But none the less what will happen when the money s gone do you ever really think about it.

The tax benefits do NOT offset the cost that smokers place upon the economy in the following ways:

1. They (smokers and people affected by smokers) miss more work, on average, than non-smokers.

2. WE (taxpayers) pay a high premium via Medicare, Medicaid, and other taxpayer subsidized healthcare b/c of smokers.

In fact, the amount paid out is MUCH greater than tax dollars received

The "fat" comments and other irrelevant comments just go to show that some people are irrational and cannot form a reasonable argument therefore they go to the playground bullying games. Funny, the people that I remember smoking in high school are now serving my burgers at McDonalds - coincidence?
