Continental Airlines Complaint - Plane left early
I noticed others have encountered something similar with Continental Airlines so it's not as isolated as one might think. I was flying out of O'Hare on Continental. Arrived at my gate 25 min before my flight was to depart and my gate was closed with no Continental agents anywhere in the vicinity. I stood and waited for 5 min when finally someone arrived from the gate. I asked them if I can get on my flight and she informed me that it was closed and explained that the gate closees 20 min before the flight. I informed her that I was there 25 min before my flight and the gate was closed at which time she pointed to her watch and said "it's now 20 minutes before the flight". EXACTLY --- I was standing there for a good 5 min. I've never experienced such rudeness, plus, I travel quite frequently for business, as was the purpose of this trip, and NEVER has a gate been closed 25 minutes before the flight departure time. I was forced to wait another hour to catch the next flight to Newark with no apologies from Continental.
After being forced to fly Continental on many occasions due to the convenience of Newark airport, I feel it has been one of the worst airlines to deal with - the worst customer service and the rudest employees both on and off the plane.
