General Motors Complaint - Customer Service Compaint re: 4L60E Trans
ORANGE, CALIFORNIA -- My 2001 Silverado has been in for service issues regarding the transmission at 16378, 16654, 24613, and 34691 miles. Each time, I was told there were no problems. The transmission has made nothing but noises and slippage since then, and I resisted taking it to the dealer fearing they would tell me there was nothing wrong once again. I have carefully driven the truck another 30,000 miles, noisy and slipping, and now the transmission is completely non-functional. If the dealer had listened to me in the first place, I would not be in this situation. I now have a truck that has been in to the dealer several times for transmission complaints and nothing was ever resolved. My truck has had regular transmission services performed and only has 63,000 miles on it. Due to the Chevrolet dealers neglect, and proof that I have tried to resolve this matter within the original warranty terms and mileage, I am requesting that General Motors repair my vehicle at any certified GM dealership at no charge to me. I have a lease that is up in one year, and if I end up having to pay for the repairs on my truck, I will trade it in within the next 2 months for a new Ford truck. Please understand my concern and know that I have always been a loyal GM customer up to this point. I have done the right thing by trying to have my truck repaired in the past with dealers turning me away, and I feel that GM should do the right thing by repairing my vehicle since the transmission issues originated at 16,378 miles. Thank you for your review.
