Allstate Insurance Complaint - Worst Insurance Company in the World!!!!
We decided to switch to Allstate because they quoted a lower rate than we had at the time. We provided all required documents, signed the policy, and made the initial deposit. Allstate never notified us that there was a problem. I tired to setup the new policy online and after a week, the website still said that our policy was unavailable. When I called to inquire, I was transferred three times before being told they had canceled our policy and could not insure us because one of the vehicles did not have my name on the title. We've had family insurance in California for over ten years and never been told that every vehicle title on the policy must have my name. This led to the long battle of trying to get Allstate to refund the deposit. It started out that I would have a refund in a couple days. Called back a week later, only to be told that nothing had been done and the representative needed to send an email to a department that would not accept calls. The next day, I called back to verify that the email work only to be told that the refund would now take 15 days and that I canceled the policy. So I speak to a supervisor, who tells me that even though they refused insurance, it was me who canceled the policy when they refused to cover our vehicle and that is why the refund takes so long. I even repeated it back to make sure I was actually hearing this nonsense correctly. I still have not received a refund! Every time I call to verify the status of the refund, I get told a different story. This has been a nightmare! I will continue to post my experience online and tell everyone I know to stay away from Allstate.
