Dunkin Donuts Complaint - Unsanitary & Rude - Coffee

Coffee - Complaint
Review by 747driver on 2009-08-25
CAIRO, NEW YORK -- Ordered beverage & noticed employee putting plastic bag in trash can. I asked if he washed his hands after, & he responded he didn't need to. I mentioned he should wash after handling trash can and got a comment from female employee saying that he didn't need to. I told him to wash before he prepared my drink, which he did out of my sight, but complained it was needless.

I then cancelled my order and walked out. Sunday Aug 23rd, Cairo, NY 8:00 pm.

So how was he rude?
Posted by zzrokk on 2009-08-25:
Wise choice Cairo, he probably was going to give you a "fresh drink" that you would have never forgotten! (VH)
Posted by ejack053824 on 2009-08-25:
ZZ is right!! You would have received a touch of lemonade with that drink.
Posted by zzrokk on 2009-08-25:
EJ, or worse!
Posted by raven2002 on 2009-08-25:
Why would someone think hand washing is not needed after handling trash and/or trash bins? That is disgusting and I agree with your decision to leave.

I found a bug in my donut one time and never went back again. They lost a customer for life!

When ever I go back to Gainesville, Fla at the University of Florida campus...I always makes sure I visit the Krispy Kreme Donut shop located on 13th Ave and University. Many nights I spent in there with my books until 400am studying drinking coffee and eating donuts.
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
I cannot believe that Krispy Kreme is struggling! I tried to talk hubby into buying stock in them when they first went public...glad he didn't now! :(
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-25:
i wonder if they'll move the company to japan then
in japan the line's out the door for krispy kreme

I have to bite my tongue at Dunkin reviews. I tried them years ago, and I mean YEARS ago in Utah, and thought they were horrendous. I hope they've improved. But I love their coffee.
Posted by madconsumer on 2009-08-25:
this is a review about dunkin donuts, NOT krispy creme.
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
Deal with it. In fact, spend time worrying about your own comments..wouldn't that be a novel idea?
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-25:
that never stopped us from going off topic before.

so who's looking forward to the new Dune movie?
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
I cannot wait!!!!!!! I still watch the old Dune movie several times a year, I'm a huge fan.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing District 9 as well...probably junk, but some good special effects.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-25:
have you seen the mini series yet?
it actually wasn't bad. they cut out a bit about yueh and the internal-thoughts of the characters

but they included a lot of little details, like Gurney-man's scar, and Jamis challenging Paul to combat, and the REAL weirding way of the Bene Gesserit.

the one thing i do regret though... when i watched the original Dune movie i did a doubletake at seeing Piter. "WTF is that Wormtongue?" Yes it was. he would have been interesting in the miniseries.

the blue eyes were pretty cool too... in the miniseries they freakin GLOWED. they didn't glow in the sequel though (children of dune)

yes i've had a sci-fi weekend
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
I need to get that right off the internet and watch it, I haven't seen it yet.

To be honest, some of that "internal thought" stuff didn't do it for me anyway, so it might be an improvement.

I am a scifi fan too! And I love remakes, even if they're not great.

This is yet another high quality review. Concise, well written and straight to the point. It's an absolute pleasure to vote this one 'Very Helpful'.

What stew said.

Do you often go around asking people if they wash their hands.
Posted by zzrokk on 2009-08-25:
Stewart, the next time that you dine at OnCue, you make sure that your paws are washed before you dig in to those condiments for your hot dog! I don't want to have to hear about all of Choctaw County coming down with flu-like symptoms behind your poor hygiene!
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-25:
actually after handling a trash can one should still wash his or her hands just in case there's bacteria lingering behind

but back to Dune... I need to look that up. I wonder who they're planning on casting.

Dirty, and double D's....

These are a few of my favorite things.
Posted by Soaring Consumer on 2009-08-25:
For sanitation's sake they do need to. Would this warrant a complaint to the health department? Possibly.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-25:
drat nothing much over at imdb except that it comes out in 2010
not even a cast list :(
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
Peter Berg is directing and one of the kids from Twilight is supposedly cast.

I didn't get all charged up about Twilight (don't get the whole phenom), so I'm not sure which one it is...
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-08-25:
Why do people like that stupid series, you seen one vampire flick, you seen them all.
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
I love vampire flicks, but that one just did nothing for me.
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-08-25:
I saw district 9 it was good.
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-25:
I just now watched I Love You, Man and laughed my ass off..it was great.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-26:
ooo one of the twilight kids is going to be in dune?

i wonder which part...
if it's one of the cullen boys it has to be Paul, Fayd, or Rabban (and i can see Emmet as Rabban actually with the football style stocky body)

or if it's one of the women...
well then it would have to be Chani or Irulan

i just find it interesting that they always cast paul as if he's in his early to mid 20s. in the book he was only 15 and looked it, until people realized his mind was sharp enough to handle a lot of the politics
Posted by BokiBean on 2009-08-26:
Yes Pepper, but they had to do that for the "love interest"..otherwise, well, its marketing, I guess. Even so, he was way way way way too young for me to find attractive. He just looked like a kid to me.

I like Peter Berg, I think he'll do it justice. He had a series on that I fell in love with (quickly cancelled though) titled The Kingdom.

PE, they do have Krispy Kreme in Japan!

The other day I was walking through a new mall here and what do I see, a Dunkin Donuts shop! The line for donuts was out the door and they had to put a chain up to keep the line in order. I don't eat donuts, but it was fascinating how popular this place was.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-26:
o yeah! Krispy Kreme in japan is a major hit. people actually have "points cards" for it.

course people have points cards for just about EVERYTHING in japan.

good point boki. plus the way the story ages, it covers a span of at least 2-3 years... so it would be harder to cast a minor teen in that role and then expect us to believe he was suddenly in his late teens with a firstborn child

Since we're off topic here....anyone ever get an itchy ass after washing? LOL!
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-26:
um not AFTER washing. Maybe you're using the wrong soap.

Try some sand
Posted by ejack053824 on 2009-08-26:
Sand? Hmmmmmmm....never heard of using that. LOL!
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-08-26:
sure sandsoap
hell sand cleans everything of off metal if you blast it... it'll take care of your skin in no time!
