Travelocity.com Complaint - Worst Experience Ever
I booked tickets to Hawaii (NOT CHEAP!!) through travelocity. We were going to go with some friends but plans ended up falling through. I had known of the possibility of plans falling through so I purchased travel insurance through another company.
I called Travelocity over 3 months before and cancelled my flights. Of course I spoke with someone in India who could hardly understand me, but he got the idea.
To make a long story short, I found out a week after that Travelocity did not cancel my tickets with the airlines which made me not able to use my travel insurance. The problem is they agreed they had it in their system that I called to cancel 3 months prior to the flights but they screwed up and didn't cancel. After trying to speak to someone about this and wasting ~7 hours on the phone over multiple days, they gave me an email address.
I sent an email and received an email back weeks later. They changed their tune this time, claiming that I had never canceled. Even though everyone I had talked to before that confirmed I did in a few short seconds, they chose to now changed their story. They resorted to lying and alienating me as opposed to being ethical and refunding me the money. If they had done the right thing I would be on here singing praises.
So in total, I lost over $1300, probably around 10 hours of my life and experienced some of the worst and most unethical customer service I have ever seen, all because they forgot to cancel my reservation with the airlines and couldn't be troubled to fix it.
NEVER USE THEM! Their guarantee is completely false!!!
