Red Carpet Inn Hotel, Fort Lauderdale,Florida 33312 Complaint - Red Carpet Inn Rip Off ! ! !
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- My stay at the Red Carpet Inn in Fort Lauderdale Florida was the WORST room I ever paid for. As I was purchasing the room online I was advised not to shop for the price, shop for the quality. I was only going to need a room for one day, and close to the airport. Red Carpet Inn was only 1.5 miles away and was showing a discount I felt I couldn’t pass up! I should have. When I arrived the front desk was having problems with quest and luckily I made it in with no problem. The card key for my room always had to be swiped at least three times. The room was tiny, dirty, roach infested, and the water was neither hot nor cold. As I called the front desk about the water situation, the young lady did not sound pleased at all to hear from me. But the maintenance crew was knocking literally seconds later. I knew then I was getting shafted. They pretended to be baffled and concerned at the same time. By the way, their acting stinks also. They gave me a song and dance about letting the water run for 10-15 minutes because the boiler room was on the other side of the hotel, and the hot water need time to get to my side! I had to brush my teeth with warm water because they had no fix for the cold water dilemma. The carpets were filthy. Every time I took a shower, the bottom of my feet looked like I had been walking outside bare feet. I took 3 showers in about a 22 hour span, and still felt dirty lol. I got up the next morning to check out and as I turned the light on in the bathroom, roaches were crawling around. As I proceeded to check out, the front desk was having problems with more guests! As I was leaving the employee behind the counter shouted “I hope you enjoyed your stay at Red Carpet Inn”. I dared not answer, and I still can't find a website to complain. With the 35 percent discount, it was a $50.00 lesson learned.
