Walmart-Chehalis, WA Complaint - Refill mess-up
CHEHALIS, WASHINGTON -- I contacted Wal-mart in Chehalis, Wa for a refill like I'd done many times before. They had to contact my doctor for a new prescription and my doctor faxed it back for a refill of 120 vicodin. The pharmasist thought it said "12" and filled it for 12. I requested a refill a few days later and they contacted my doctor again. At first my doctor was in shock thinking I needed a refill already when he just gave me 120. They figured out the problem, but instead of filling the balance of my presciption they gave me 12 again and said I had a butt load of reills that I would have to pay $10 each time.
If I had gone that way, I would've ended up paying $100 instead of my $10 copay for all 120.
I didn't even know what was going on until I switched my prescription to Walgreens and the pharmasist there asked me if I wanted just 12 like I'd put in the request, or all 96 which was the balance left. He said "It'll save you a lot in copays". He said he asked the Walmart pharmasist why she only filled 12 at a time and she replied "I dunno". Nice answer. Thanks to the Walgreens pharmasist. He really saved my pocketbook! And as for wal-mart, I will never go there for a prescription again. Plus they're really rude!! Thanks for listening.
