Wayfarer Inn -New Hampshire Complaint - Not a happy camper
MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I stay at hotels for business alot and have never come across a situation as this. I have to attend a conference and called to pay out right for the room for three nights. I know that usually you can "hold" the room with your credit card and pay when you get there. I however, do it the other way-when I have the money I outright pay for it. Anyway, I confirmed (received my confirmation number) that the three nights were paid for and that I wouldnt owe anything upon arrival (just how I like it)! I called to check up (two weeks before I have to go-thank god I did) to find out that they only charged my account for two nights and assumed that I would be paying for the thrid night when I arrived there? I spoke to a manager who told me that I "miscommunicated" my needs to the front desk. I was quiet and asked if the front desk needed it spelled out? Seriously, if you have a guest coming for three nights, requests the three nights be paid ahead of time, why would you only charge the account for two and think that I would want to pay for the third when I got there? I dont want anything "free" from the hotel and I didnt expect anything-but I am not happy with the way that the manager of this property dealt with it? What do you all think?
