American Airlines Complaint - Thanks for nothing AA
I was traveling to N. C. from Las Vegas for my brothers wedding. My 22 month old was with me. We were to land in CLT at 3pm and attend a formal function at 7pm. At the AA counter in LAS the employees were very rude and not very helpful. After a 20 min. attempt to check in at the kiosk I approached the couunter. I was told to return to the kiosk. An AA employee then stepped over and took control of the kiosk. Never asking any questions just touching the screen. After 4 failed attempts she finally looked at me and said "you are 2 min. late checking now" "you will have to choose another flight". My response was "excuse me" and she continued to press the screen. I then stepped to the counter where they finally checked my bag and handed me tickets. Rushing through security and to gate I never looked at the tickets till I got to the gate. AA has issued one tickets to DFW for both me and my 22 month old. I payed for tickets to CLT. No AA employees are at any of the three surrounding gates. I run to find someone and as I walk up to a gate attendant they call me by name and say I need to be on the plane. I show her my tickets and she is shocked. She then pulls up my itenerary and prints off the correct tickets. After our arrival in CLT we have no luggage. AA has no clue where it is. They will not even start a claim for 90 min. But they assure me as soon as it arrives in CLT they will call me.6 hours later after missing our formal dinner still no phone call I call AA to be informed that my luggage had arrived but they would deliver it the next day. Needless to say me and my 22 month old wore the same clothes for over 28 hours thanks to AA. Now our only compensation for their screw ups is they gave us 3000 bonus miles.
