CyberDefender Complaint - Cyberdefender Virus Protector Let a Virus Into My Computer

Review by Mosel on 2009-08-28
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a Virus protector from CyberDefender, then had a virus attack on my computer two months later. I called and they told me it would cost me $249.00 to remove this virus. I assumed I paid for protection that I did not receive. I am very disappointed.

It seems that the best virus protection products available are free

AVG is free and it works fine... why pay?

Seems the ones you pay for are the ones that work the least. There's nothing wrong with free.

i use pay for avg, and it is perfect. it auto updates itself.

i suspect the poster did not have an updated virus profile, and one slipped thru.

unless the program knows what to look for, it may not find it.

The free version updates itself as soon as you turn on your 'puter'...
