Sears/Citibank Complaint - Sears/Citibank interest rates will drive away customers

Review by bubbalou on 2009-08-29
Just got off the phone to Citibank who is the holder of all Sears Charge Cards. Every Sears charge customer is now getting an interest rate hike to 27% regardless of account history. Goodbye Sears. You have got my very last dollar--what a shame I really like buying big ticket appliances from them and adore Land's Ends. But if that's the way you want to treat 30+ customers, then I have no loyalty either. What they sell is available everywhere. I will pay the account off but not close it. And never will I enter their store again. I hope all loyal Sears customers do the same. We as consumers should hit them where it counts like they are trying to do to us.

It's Citibank's decision not the store (Sears).

Seems as though All Credit Card Companies are doing this now.
