Obadiah's Seafood Restaurant Complaint - Shotty Seafood

Review by DeeJerseyGirl on 2009-08-29
OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY -- On a recent visit to the South Jersey Shore, we visited Obadiah's in Ocean City. We were seated in the noisy "party section" of the restaurant and had a waitress who would never stop unless we flagged her down. The menu prices were outrageous, but hoping the food was worth it, we ordered. My shrimp had thick, full veins in them, my son's prime rib was more fat than meat, and the crab soup was all vegetables. On top of all of that, drinks weren't even free refills! We spent over $25 in soda for 5. The only thing I'm not sure of- Was the service or the food worse?

The visit to this place sounds disgusting. You should expect good service and good food. You didn't get either. Thanks for the warning! Yuck!

$25.00 bucks for drink refills, ouch.

OP, did you contact the manager to let them know how bad the food was?? The veiny shrimp alone would of been reason enough to call him/her over.

Thanks for the warning~

This was probably a restaurant in a "touristy" area, thus no free refills, overpriced, substandard food, and poor service. Most restaurants offer free refills on soft drinks and coffee nowadays, chains more likely than mom-and-pops.

Wally... a Jersey submarine on the Point Pleasant boardwalk is as close to gastronomic heaven as you can get!
Wafflecones after an Italian sausage sandwich would leave you totalled out for the evening.... I would KILL for the food at the shore...
