These aforementioned imported vehicles will be available at your local dollar store or Wal-Mart.

Some of the money that GM got was to help them subsize their whole operation, which includes facilities in China and Mexico. These jobs will replace 24000 American jobs.
Because they can get them built cheaper there and then they will be inported to the US and sold here. Sure boggles the mind, give them money to built factories in foreign countried to put Americans out of work. The Washington buracrats never cease to amaze.

China's role in the world's auto industry hasn't been talked about much. Within about five years or so, China-made autos will start showing up here in the U.S. Remember when Hyundai (Korean built) started showing up? A joke, at first, but look at them today. China's influence on our auto industry will make today's concerns look like nothing. It's not an "if" scenario, it's a "when," and when is coming along pretty fast.
Of course, with the world as we know it ending on Dec. 21, 2012, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

That does keep drawing closer, I just wonder how it will happen.
