SquareTrade Warranties Compliment - A Lifesaver! - Warranty for E*Bay purchase

I purchased a refurbished PS3 (60gB)for my son on E*Bay. I don't normally purchase extended warranties, but because it was a refurb, I decided it was worthwhile. I soon discovered that purchasing this warranty kept me from losing the ~$500. I spent on the PS3!

About 8 months post-purchase, the item stopped reading game disks. After several attempts to re-boot, I contacted SquareTrade. I received an immediate email response suggesting that I ensure the software had been upgraded to the latest rev. Once that had been completed and the system still failed to work, I again received an immediate response indicating that a shipping carton was on its way to me.

The carton arrived as promised, I packaged the item per the enclosed instructions and sent it to the repair depot. I could verify receipt of the item online and also received an email with the status update.

The item was promptly repaired and returned within 5 days from the date of receipt. It has worked perfectly ever since.

As a former customer service trainer, I am not the easiest person to please when it comes to service skills. I was extremely impressed with the service level of SquareTrade and with their prompt and efficient repair service. I can't say enough about the value of this service, and would highly recommend them.
