A&P,Boonton,NJ Informative - Keep the water safe and out of the sun

Review by salon101 on 2009-08-31
BOONTON, NEW JERSEY -- I am so tired of going to the A&P and seeing them display water for sale IN THE SUN. Hasn't the FDA and other organizations done research recently stating it can be hazardous to keep water in the heat and sun in the plastic bottles. I told the manager and he just said yea "I know that isn't too good."

By the time we buy it, it could already be damaged goods and a health hazard.

Many gas stations and convenience stores display pop and bottled water outside the store, in the sun. Displaying it outside makes it an "impulse" item that you'd grab, pay for, and go. Some supermarkets also display pop and water either outside or in the lobby or front windows, again as an "impulse" buy. Still, the plastic in water bottles can be harmful in the long run.

And just why are you buying water? I have never understood why people would buy water when they can get it from their own faucet at a much lower cost. At least that is in the U.S. oops, noticed it was NJ, my bad.

I agree tap water is the best way to go economically, and believe it or not it is safe here in NJ. Don't know why people have to be against NJ with the remarks, it wasn't even funny, like get a life, we are all in this together.
