World Wide Travel Complaint - Buyer Beware: A company of scammers

Review by toopolite on 2009-09-01
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA -- This company, World Wide Travel, caught me "unawares" one morning, when they called me and offered me a completely FREE vacation package. I should have asked where they were calling from:CLEARWATER, FLORIDA-the biggest scamming artists' city in the world! I didn't. I ordered the service, which had to be canceled within 7 days if I chose not to take it. But of course, they told me, I could keep the free vacation anyway. The package arrived without any destinations to choose from-just that one could go for four nights and three days to.... "someplace". There were airline vouchers which looked totally fake. When I called the company to cancel the membership, there was no answer. I finally reached them the next day after trying many times...the "manager" was as rude as they come. Didn't want to be bothered with my questions and his last words to me were: "Oh my goodness, I'm not in 4th grade! Good bye." And then he hung up on me! Just like a 4th grader.

Needless to say, this company didn't quite make it to 4th grade....more like kindergarten....Scammers, liars, flim flam people. Stay away. Beware! (They did allow me to cancel but I'm not sure that they will follow through and so, in addition to all this nonsense, I need to call my bank just to make sure)

Yes you should call your bank to make sure no charges have been processed.
