rk chevrolet Complaint - fraud complaint
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA -- I recently purchased a 2004 corvette from RK Chevrolet in Virginia Beach. Virginia.. my second one ,the first was a 2002.. The night I closed the deal, the paperwork i was aaked to sign had the wrong agreed on price in the buyers contract. As i was half way through signing i brought it to the attention of the sales manager that the price agreed upon was $2,000 different that what was on the contract. He told me it would be corrected when it went to finance and made adjustments to the contract which i finished signing. The day i went to finance to close the deal,I signed all the other paperwork first then the buyers contract came up with the same wrong numbers which i refused to sign. Because the sales manager was out of town they insited that was the agrred upon amount. after refusing to sign the rest of the paperwork, they mysteriously presented me with a buyers contract with the correct agreed upon price and i signed it. when i left the dealership they gave me a copy of the "bogus" contract. After thinking for a moment i went to the credit union and they had already submitted the wrong contract with the higher price. after months of trying to straightened it out. i still have not recieved a copy of the real buyers contract or any other paper work from the dealership except for the loan paperwork from the credit union.
When I approached other people who got involved they told me the copy of the buyers guide was no good because only i had signed it and none of RK representivies had signed it so they printed it up just for my appeasement and never submitted the corrected copy so i am therefore paying a loan for $2,000 more than i should have been.i worked some discrepencies out with one of the managers but am still so irrated and dissatisifed about the whole fraudelant practice that went on. i tried to speak to the general manager who refused to get involved. i called chevrolet who also refuse to get involved on any sales disputes from their dealerships. i saw that Tom Kline responded to a complaint on here and if you read this sir i would love to ask to sit down with you and discuss this, just to know that someone honestly does care about the customer after they leave your dealership with the automobile. that is $100,000 worth of automobiles i have bought from you in 2 years.
