DirecTV Inc Complaint - Promotion gone wrong
IOWA -- In December of 2003, I agreed to purchase the 2004 NFL Sunday ticket at the introductory offer of $169 and I would get the last two weeks of the 2003 season Free! I chose to pay in two monthly installments, which I paid in the months of January and February.
Now, in the month of June, I get my July bill, and on it is a $44.75 charge for the 2004 early bird special. When I called the company to explain to them I had already agreed and paid for the 2004 season, they told me otherwise. They said that what I paid for was the remainder of the 2003 season. They went on to inform me I misunderstood the December offer. I was only guaranting myself the option to "renew" my NFL Sunday ticket service.
I am sure there was such an offer, but I have no way of proving it. If anyone else has seen this offer, I would like to hear from you! I cannot believe a company would expect me to pay $169 for two weeks of service. I would have never done this, had this been explained to me in such a manner.
I have been happy with my over all service from this company, but this kind of business tactic, which I believe to be wrong, will cause me to look elsewhere. Hopefully this can be resolved!
