walmart/newton Complaint - Complaint Letter
NEWTON, IOWA -- On Dec. 3rd my husband & I were shopping at your store. We had an item that did not have the computer scanning bars or price on it. I knew the price of the item, but was told that the cashier needed a code to enter it. He requested assistance from the customer service desk. After a wait of about 10 minutes the woman finally came over. He told her what he needed and she just told him to call the fabric dept. He told her he didnt have the extension number & she just repled "I dont either" and took off. He finally called over the intercom for fabrics and they called him. The woman who responded couldnt find the item. I finally had to go back there and show her where it was and get the code & pricing myself. We waited for 1/2 hour in line needing help and the customer service woman was quite rude. It seemed she didnt really want to help us. I walked up to her after we checked out and confronted her with her lack of help and was treated quite rudely by her. I was told that she did all she could do. If thats all she could do, you need to find a different customer service person. At this time of year, there should be more than 2 people at the customer service desk and more registers open for checking people out. Its too bad that your store is more interested in paying off the store and keeping their operating costs low than actually serving and helping the customers. If it werent for the customers, you wouldnt have a store!
