Direct Air Airlines Complaint - Don't book with this airline

1*877*432*3473 -- Booked thru during a sale for airfare they had run thru Rfd. Chicago Airport. Three weeks from the flight date I called to verify car rental in Punta Gorda, FL and was informed by car rental counter that airline had suspended all flights. Imagine my surprise to find out from the car rental counter and not the airline. Come to find out those flight were suspended more that a month before and we were not notified. I called and was told at that very moment they making calls to inform us the purchasers. Seemed fishy to me so I called the next day. I asked for a supervisor - said there was none. Asked for accounting - it was closed. I had to fill out a special form. I had my husband call back and do that as I was fed up by then. Refund due in 10-14 days. Hmmm we are on day 15 and I called again. Sent to voicemail of accounting dept and told to leave info and they would process in the next day. My question is why was it not done in the first place? Don't know if I will see our money but I suspect probably not. The kicker was 2 days after this all transpired they were advertising a 2 for 1 sale for November.
