DirecTV Inc Complaint - TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- My husband lost his job in November, we were having problems paying the bills, so I called DirecTV and requested they stop my service until I could catch the bill up. I advised that I will complete my contract with them. I was advised this would be ok and they discontinued my service, this was mid JULY. On July 24, they went into my bank account and took $647.12 (equipment + cancellation fees) with out authorization! (keep in mind that my account was not set up for auto pay!). This was my house payment money. I called them the last week of JULY, I was advised they would turn service back on and refund the balance, my refund was to be $460.00. IT was to be returned to my bank account within 10 business days. I called again mid August, told again to be returned within 10 business days, Called again today, 9/4/09 still no refund, told again 10 business days, now the refund has dropped to 257.75 and still no refund. It appears they are keeping my money until the service has used it all up.
If you are going to start service with direcTV, do not pay them using their web site, they will just take your money!!!!!
