There is a reason Vizio's are usually the least expensive TVs on the market.

Ive seen a 32" Vizio for $350. I would buy one. I think the reason they are cheap is because of the cheap bezel which I dont mind. Im sure that their LCD screen are the same material that are installed in all the other major name brands.

As with many items these days, a $350 TV is probably a disposable item.

I have two Vizio 32" LCD sets purchased about 3 years ago. One needed a new board which Vizio replaced in 4 days at no charge and the other set has had no problems. Vizio is actually made by LG. Repair person told me that Vizio sets are a bit too sensitive to electrical power fluctuations. He recommended a decent surge/spike protector to be a good investment.

That is awesome Passingby. A least expensive tv can last as long as a high end tv. Technology has improved over the years. I have a 32" Memorex tv for 12 months with no problem. I would recommend a surge protector to protect the tv.
