Airlines Informative - Has your flight been delayed? Here's a way to find out exactly where the flight is.

Let's say you are at the airport or at home and you get notice that your flight is delayed. The airlines tend not to be very forthcoming with information as to what's going on. Now you can find out exactly where the flight is and what the current real-time status is.
Go to www.helloflight.com. This web site uses real-time data from the FAA to follow about 2000 daily flights in the US. The main page features a map of the US that shows what flights are in the air, airport delays and weather related delays. You can enter your flight number and it will pull up the current status. The best part is that it's free. You can even use the web page to identify the aircraft that just flew overhead and find out detailed info on airline and destination. For any air traveler this web site should be bookmarked in your favorite browser or web enabled device.

I can't get into the site because their server is not working properly but if it tracks aircraft according to the flight you are waiting for it may be the wrong aircraft. Many times a flight coming into airport XXX as flight 123 will not be the same aircraft going out as 123. The info you see may not be correct.

Dan Gordon: I found helloflight.com mentioned in a couple of threads at that forum.
