Mc. Donalds Complaint - Inappropiate Behavior

Review by missy on 2009-09-05
FRIENDSWOOD TX. -- I took my niece to eat at the Mc. Donalds located at 302 S Friendswood in Friendswood Tx. 77546. While putting a lid on my drink a little kid accidently knocked over my nieces drink, I reported the spill and got her a new drink. While I was remaking her drink I heard an employee say " An idiots toddler spilled her drink" I was so upset when I approached him he denied it. I am so frustrated I don't know what to do. My niece is only two years old.

If I were you, I would just let it go. You can contact The gm or corporate if you want. I doubt it will do any good, it will just be a he said, she said. I agree that is way inappropriate if he said that.

While it was inappropriate, I agree the best thing to do is let it pass. It is entirely possible that the employee knew it was another person's child who knocked your drink ove, and they were commenting on the lack of parental control. I have done that many times myself, like when I go to WalMart and see kids running around like wild Indians. I have commented at times that they have no parenting skills. Have you seen the Halloween aisles at WalMart lately? People think parenting consists of letting their precious kids go wild and tear up the displays, but it doesn't. Be the bigger person and let it slide.

after all, he wasn't talking about your child. so what's the big deal?

I think the OP thinks "An idiot toddler spilled her drink" is talking about HER toddler, when in reality I actually think he meant ANOTHER idiot toddler spilled her (pointing at her niece) drink. Don't get all huffy about it, people can say whatever they want, you have to be the bigger person about it and brush it off your shoulders.

Starlord - I use to work at a Toy's R Us and know exactly how bad the Halloween section can get. It was always the worst section to clean up as it was an absolute mess. After cleaning the section (while still open), I would follow people, cleaning up right after them. Sometimes the parents would get it that they are suppose to clean up the things that they take down.

SW I know what you mean! The Halloween section is the one section we all fought over not having to clean. So many costumes on the wrong hooks, missing accessories, or just laying on the base shelf. Such horror, really.

missy, that's just one of those things. Employees just talk like that to each other, and it wasn't meant for customer ears. If you worked there for a month, you'd understand. Gotta let it go.
