Dada.net Complaint - Stay Far Away From These People

Review by Starlord on 2009-09-06
I was checking a site, looking up the lyrices to Monty Python's Galaxy Song. Suddenly, one the screen, was a link that said "Get Monty Python's The Galaxy Song as a ringtone." I happen to like the song so I clicked the link. You must click four links, and I seriously doubt if you decide not to sign up, you cannot escape the capture of your info and the billing. When I began, I had $20.00 in my cash balance with Virgin Mobile (which I suspect of being complicit). Finally, I got a message that said they were sorry, the could not process my request, but to select four MP3s or ringtones. My balance with Virgin Mobile was now $12.30 or so. Finally, after much eamiling, I got an email that stated the Galaxy Song was only available as an MP3 and I could download it to my PC. I advised them that I did not want an MP3, but a ringtone, and I wanted a refund of my money, as they had double charged me. Both Dada.net and Virgin Mobile stated I had only ben charged $2.49 and it had been refunded. By my poor math skills, I figure someone still owes me about $6.00 Dada.net, is guilty of false advertising, stating a tune was available as a ringtone when it was not. I still claim they at least double-charged me, and they probably split it with Virgin Mobile. These people are liars and thieves. Stay far awy from them.

Excuse me if I didnt understand your complaint, but couldnt you have just download ringtone directly from Virgin Mobile instaed of Dada.net?

PS, I have heard 30 seconds of the song and boy, its certainly not my taste, no offense of course.

From the way it sounds, Virgin Mobile would almost have to be part of this, I agree.

Thanks for the review!

MRM, that sounds good, if Virgon Mobile offered the Galaxy Song as a ringtone. Most of VM's ringtones are hip-hop tunes aimed at younger people. Just because my tastes do not meet VM's demographics, is that a decree that I must have a hip-hop or gangsta rap tune as my ringtone? As it was I ended up paying $2.00 for Hank Williams, Jr's A Country Boy Can Survive. Not exactly what I wanted, but better than Birthday Sex or Flootloops. You are most welcome, Boki.
