Ladyfootlocker Complaint - My recent order

MES, ARIZONA -- I am writing to you because of my dissatisfaction concerning the handling of
an order, I placed with Ladyfootlocker on June 27. The order was initiated,
that day for an item, I desperately needed as a birthday gift for a family
member. I filled out the necessary information and received an e-mail
confirmation, which stated my order will be processed upon credit
authorization. I also need to mention, that this order was to be shipped to
an address - other than my home address.

Since I had no reason to believe that there might be a problem with my
credit card, I assumed that everything would be fine. Well, on July 3, I
called your customer service center and was then informed, that there was a
problem with the credit card company - because the shipping address did not
coincide with the cardholders home address, which was supposedly never
given, when the order was placed.. The person I talked to also insisted,
that a telephone message was left on my answering machine, not true -
unless our dog has learned to receive, screen and delete calls, since he is
the only one at home - when we are not. Our caller ID did not show any calls
from your representatives, as well.
Anyhow - I was then assured that the matter was taken care off and an
overnight express shipment would be made on July 5. I said fine and was
promised that there will be no charge for the shipping as an inconvenience
compensation.
Today, July 7, I was forced to make another call - since the ordered item
has not arrived as promised.
Now I am told, that this item is on backorder, until August. Needless to
say, I have cancelled.

I am appalled at the incompetent customer service we received, from a well
known company like yours. As a little side comment, both my husband and I
suffer from cancer and internet shopping has become a necessity for us, due
to health reasons. Your service is the worst I have encountered, so far.
I for one, will never shop at Ladyfootlocker again and can assure you,
neither will any of my family or friends. I have spent many years working
directly with the public - national & international - so I am fully aware of
the negative impact, poor customer service can have on any business.
Hopefully, future customers of yours will benefit from this complaint.
