Pep Boys Complaint - Not so express Express service
HAMPTON, VIRGINIA -- Went today (9/7/09) to have an oil change. was informed that there was 3 or 4 cars ahead of me and that it would be about 4 hours before they would be able to change the oil. Yet in their customer lounge, on a sign on the wall, it said, and I am paraphrasing, "by express we mean fast." An Oil Change was one of the services mentioned.
I know there were others ahead of me yet an hour per car per oil change doesn't see very fast. So I cancelled the order and went somewhere else, not an oil change specialty shop like Jiffy Lube or similar but to a tire shop that also had their bays full with repairs and I was still out of there in less than an hour after I ordered the service. I cannot recommend Pep Boys because my impression from the assistant service manager at this particular store was "too bad, but you don't have a choice but to wait" but I did have a choice so I took my business elsewhere.
Also their web site isn't particulary user friendly either, the only way to contact them on the web is through "twitter."I don't like the fact that I have to join a web social service to make a comment nor do I feel I have to phone in to make a complaint when
