The Art Institute of New York City Complaint - AiNYC- Not worth the money
NEW YORK. NY -- I am a former student of AiNYC. I attended the Institute for 1 year and transferred. In the beginning phases, the school presents itself to be a accredited and outstanding institution. When really it's just a cleverly thought out scam. It charges an amount for tuition that covers nothing and it's going up. The school's teachers are unmotivated and unqualified. They don't provide you with the items they say they will. Over charge you for books and supplies automatically. They also have an unfathomable absent policy that doesn't apply to the unmotivated teachers. The experience the school promises to offer, they can't provide. Part of the school is closing, teachers are striking, and kids aren't learning. The school accepts anyone you seems like they can or are willing to take out as many loans so the school can get your money. The school doesn't care about talent or determination. They faculty and staff don't like their job and always have an attitude with students, parents and even each other. Just your money and if youre willing to give it to them. Their credits don't transfer to other institutions easily. They provide waste of time general education classes that no other school offers as an requirement for that specific major. A lot of the former and current students want to leave the school but they've already paid so much money for one semester that they cannot afford to because the credits don't transfer which means it's like they never even took the classes. The school is money hungry and not interested in the children's education or passion for the Arts.
