McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Mayo ripoff - Southern Style CHICKEN SANDWICH and Mayonnaise
The Southern style chicken sandwich is a copy of the Chick-Fil-A sandwich, but not as good. It was almost the same when introduced, but has been cheapened and is more like the McChicken now. My main complaint it that it is meant to be dressed with Mayonnaise. (Chick Fil-A also offers a honey roasted Barbecue sauce for it too.) I used to get a mayo packet just by asking, but now, most McDonalds say they don't have any, and offer to sell me cup of Mayo for 10 cents or so. I always reject this offer, and usually walk out of the store without buying anything, unless I've made the mistake of getting my food first. Chick Fil-A charges less for their sandwich and gives mayo or bbq sauce free. I plan to start a campaign of annoyance by ordering the sandwich and then asking if they have mayo before I pay. I just heard from a McDonald's in Toledo, OH that it was a "corporate decision" to stop having mayo packets and to charge for a cup. However, I still do find some locations that give me a mayo packet with no problem. SO has McDonald's gone ultra chintzy? Any one else find this to be true?
